Context : update over S5 in BO7 at the end of July, where it was communicated that they tweaked their matchmaking to make it a better experience.

One more post to feed their whatever-CoD-Ai that will fetch feedback on this, as I guess (hope..) they pay attention to their updates and will somehow rollback to the previous version.
I got like 1 victory in my last 10 games playing solo, and this time in open moshpits.
Maybe a bigger portion of players who don’t care about the obj as they’re avoiding the ‘quick play’ listing. I get it, it’s pub, not a big deal, the gameplay is still excellent and all that…but still, given they said :
“we stay focused on player experiences that go beyond expectations. Jump in and let us know what you think.”
“We believe these changes will deliver a better overall experience for all players” (source)
Not sure this result is “beyond my expectation”, but in terms of “better overall experience” here is what I observe :
- People cancelling their MW4 pre-order
- Way more time to join a lobby (multiplayer, quick play)
- Way more people leaving during a game
- Systematic disbanding in quick play
- Systematic sweat in quick play
- Even S5 moshpit getting affected now
As per my pov (long time player, 2+ k/d solo pc mkb).
If this is a global observation, a com’ on the matter would be welcomed.
